Em 1991, o jovem Wichí Miguel Ángel Lorenzo filmou com uma câmera de vídeo Hi8, com humor e sensibilidade, e ao lado de seus conterrâneos, jornadas pela floresta, até casas vizinhas, eventos escolares, investigações arqueológicas e visitas de um juiz, como parte das provas para um julgamento que sua comunidade vinha realizando desde 1986. Senda India é construído a partir dessas imagens e episódios, nos quais os protagonistas indígenas apontam para o mundo branco o significado da floresta, da língua e da vida comunitária como bases fundamentais de suas reivindicações territoriais.
In 1991, the young Wichí man Miguel Ángel Lorenzo filmed with a Hi8 video camera, with humor and sensitivity, and alongside his fellow villagers, journeys through the forest, to neighboring houses, at school events, archaeological investigations, and visits from a judge, as part of the evidence for a trial that his community had been carrying out since 1986. Senda India is built from these images and episodes where the indigenous protagonists point out to the white world the meaning of the forest, the language, and community life as the fundamental bases of their territorial claims.
