Anita Leandro is a documentary filmmaker and film professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Her research on the photographic archives of Brazilian repressive agencies led to the film *Portraits of Identification* (Brazil, 2014, 73 min.), winner of the Jury Prize at Cachoeira.Doc, the Rainbow Award at the Trieste Latin American Film Festival, and screened in the international competition at FIDMarseille, the États Généraux du Film Documentaire de Lussas, ForumDoc, Mostra Tiradentes, Cineop, EDOC Quito, among other national and international festivals and exhibitions. Since 2006, she has filmed narrators of Guimarães Rosa’s work in the interior of Minas Gerais. She creates video installations and is working on the creation of an archive of narrations of Rosa’s texts for the Guimarães Rosa House Museum. She was the coordinator of the professional master’s program «Documentary Filmmaking and Archive Enhancement» at the University of Bordeaux-Montaigne.
